Essex Grandmother Wins £200,000 with 40 pence Bet.
Sixty-four year old Grandmother, Rita Driscoll, from South Ockendon in Essex, has won a £196,000 jackpot after betting just 40 pence on an online fruit machine run by coral.co.uk.
Rita, a retired-post office worker, first visited the online casino at www.coralcasino.com over 18 months ago. She started by playing for fun with fake money, before depositing cash to bet with.
On Thursday night, after her husband and her son had already gone to bed, Rita logged on to her computer, went to coralcasino.com and decided to bet on a slot machine for half an hour. Within 10 minutes, with just 40 pence at stake, she hit the jackpot and landed the £196,000 prize.
'I always play the slot machines when we go to a casino when on holiday in Portugal and started using this online casino because it's just as much fun to play,' explained Rita Driscoll.
'My husband always says that I have 'lucky hands' but my biggest win until now was just £1,300 at Bingo. I was shaking when I realised how much I'd won. We are going on holiday to celebrate and I'm going to look after all my family with the winnings,' added Mrs Driscoll.
Jacko is GUILTY; verdict is given by the bets public.
Michael Jackson is expected to be found guilty
on four counts of lewd acts involving a minor,
and four counts of administering an intoxicating
agent, in his current trial against the State
of California, according to public opinion on
celebrity event betting site, www.AnyBets.com.
The international pool betting site has online pools covering the entire trial process from jury selection to conviction. The public have shown they are willing to put money where their mouth is and placed bets in all nine pools related to the Hollywood trial.
59% of the betting public believe that Michael
Jackson will be found guilty of at least one
of the charges brought against him - 32% have
bet that he will be found guilty on all charges,
and 27% say at least one charge but not all
charges. Wacko Jacko supporters stand to win
£4.81 per £1 bet placed if he is found innocent.
If there is a mistrial, the odds are a staggering
£22.90 for every £1 bet.
Regarding the length of the trial, 52% believe
it will take 16 to 20 days alone just to select
the jury. The public also believes that it will
take longer for the defence to present its case
compared to the prosecution. 42% of bettors
have said it will take the defence more than
14 days to present evidence and 56% bet it will
take the prosecution 12 to 14 days to present
theirs.
A spokesperson for www.AnyBets.com said, "The
Michael Jackson pools have been extremely popular
as the betting public enjoy getting involved
in current and controversial issues by placing
a wager in support of their opinion.
Our website appeals to a wide range of consumers
and what is bet is often a reflection of their
viewpoint. At the moment, the odds show a majority
opinion that Michael Jackson is guilty."
Online Bingo for the UK Hots Up.
Today sees the launch of UK bingo portal OnlineBingo.co.uk.
This online bingo information site aims to clarify
the increasingly crowded UK online bingo market
by making a distinction between multi-player
and single-player bingo sites. It also allows

reviews and by highlighting the different promotions
and giveaways available at different UK bingo
sites.
Three million people play bingo in bingo halls
in the UK and leading sites like ThinkBingo.com

halls on the internet. In the UK, online bingos'
mainly female players are often attracted by
the chat/community element of multi-player bingo
sites and OnlineBingo.co.uk has also come to
the rescue with an indispensable dictionary
of bingo chat slang.
Charlotte Lewin of OnlineBingo.co.uk said 'Wannabee
UK online bingo players are now bombarded with
options of places to play. Onlinebingo.co.uk
makes the choices clearer and easier by only
listing and reviewing the best UK bingo sites
and spelling out the differences between them.

our users because online bingo thrives on personal
recommendations."
